“Shoot for the Stars”
This is my first blog, so I want to say welcome to Happy Go Lucky English and hope I can give you a little encouragement to take on an “I can do it” attitude.
I’ve chosen an idiom “Shoot for the stars” It means to set one’s goals or ambitions very high; to try to attain or achieve something particularly difficult; to step outside your comfort zone. It just takes one step and you are on your journey.
The photo is of The Church Of The Good Shepherd located at Lake Tekapo near Mt Aoraki,/ Mt Cook 3724m (what is the elevation of Fuji-San?)in New Zealand’s South Island. Here there is fantastic mountain scenery and due to the extremely clear sky, you can often see the magnificent Milky Way, a goal worth trying for. Of course, you would be doing it, speaking English just like a Happy Go Lucky English speaker.
